How to play Undead Defense Tycoon 2
The loop after you own walls: cash, streaks, modes, and not griefing plots.
How to play Undead Defense Tycoon 2: claim a plot, shoot undead for cash, buy pads, survive the forest, optionally fight the King with seven strangers. It is a Roblox tycoon-shooter hybrid, not a wave-defense with a start button. Zombies are always on the map.
If you have not bought walls yet, go back to getting started. This page is the rule set.
The loop
- Kill → cash.
- Step on green buttons → guns, floors, defenses, garage.
- Stronger undead spawn as the server lives; Alphas can roll on normal types.
- Optional: streak → care package.
- Optional: purple bar → King Zombie.
- Repeat until Weapons Lab, mercenary, heli, Devastator.
There is no campaign ending. “Complete the fortress” means every combat pad you care about is green. The mid-article video is a full fortress session so you can see the skyline you are buying.
Death, streaks, and what you drop
Plot purchases persist. Community reports: you can lose the care-package weapon you were holding and your kill streak. Some players also report kill-count UI weirdness after a death — treat the leaderboard as flavor, not a bank. Do not take a Railgun into a Boomer crowd without a plan to extract.
First Aid Kit is mandatory for King leech. Keep it hotbar-adjacent.
Servers and “co-op”
Max 8 players. It is online multiplayer on a shared map, not split-screen. You can:
- Ignore everyone and farm your plot.
- Stack on King for scaled rewards.
- Repair a friend’s Tank.
Do not stand on someone else’s helipad rotors (it breaks the heli). Do not steal a pad that is clearly owned. Test server (5717071250) does not share data with live.
Normal vs Hardcore
Hardcore is a separate place (~877k visits vs 276M on live). More Alpha rolls. Alpha Guards can deny headshots. Your live fortress does not copy over. Read events and modes before you queue it for “better loot.”
Cash sense
Alphas = 8× cash. King scales with player count (community King figures around 6k HP / $20k on small servers, more when full). Economics+ (R$499) is a 35% chance to double a kill — gamepasses. Codes are not a cash method right now.
Spend with the cash planner so a $108k Katana does not delay mines.
Etiquette that keeps you alive
- Call King if you kite it through someone’s open mercenary stairs.
- Do not dump Boomers on an AFK sentry farm for fun.
- If you use scripts, you are on your own with moderation — this how-to assumes a vanilla client.
Completing the “game”
A practical complete checklist:
- Group Sten applied.
- Walls + mines + sentry.
- M60 online.
- Garage built, Lab lasers owned.
- Mercenary at least level 3.
- One S-tier vehicle — vehicle tiers.
- One King kill.
- One Tier III crate (Railgun or Drone).
After that you are in fashion-and-Hardcore territory. Bind list remains on controls. Upgrade order remains on upgrade path.
Session length
Average playtime on trackers sits around a quarter hour because people bounce when the first Fast Zombie wins. A complete fortress is a multi-session grind (community videos run hours). Plan around King spawns rather than “one more pad.” If you only have ten minutes, buy mines, load the sentry, and leave the character indoors — that is still progress.
Sharing a plot versus sharing a server
You cannot gift your tycoon. Friends claim empty pads. You can share vehicles, repairs, and King aggro. If a friend stands in your merc stairs, they are a doorstop. If they repair your Tank, they are why the server size is eight — vehicles.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is this a wave game?
No. Zombies roam continuously. King and events are the only big spawn announcements.
Can I play with friends?
Yes, up to eight in one server. Join the same place and pick empty plots. Data is per account, not a shared tycoon.
Does Hardcore share my save?
No. Separate place, more Alphas, no transfer.
What is the goal?
There is no credits roll. Max the combat pads, beat King, then chase crates and Hardcore.
