Undead Defense Tycoon 2 Zombie threat tier list

Zombies are the entire income stream and the entire fail state. This zombie tier list ranks threat, not farm value — Alphas are dangerous and rich (8× cash, 5× HP). Use it while reading how to play and King Zombie. Event-only types sit at the bottom so you do not confuse a Hunt egg with a Necromancer.

S tier — stop what you are doing

King Zombie — Only true boss. Purple robe, map-center spawn, server HP bar, Guard summons, health leech, ground smash. Cash and HP scale with player count. Full fight: King guide.

Alpha Tough — Tough already throws boulders that hit helis. Alpha Tough can out-stat the King. Grey skin, brown clothes, “Hurls boulders at vehicles.”

Necromancer — Adds bodies while you shoot the wrong target. Third-hardest normal undead after Tough and King on community lists.

A tier — delete before they snowball

Tough Zombie — Vehicle hunter. Dodge on ATV/heli; if a boulder hits your ride, that is your cue.

Vanguard — Boomer-shaped, bigger, grey clothes, 950 HP, 60 damage, rotating shield for nearby undead. Kill Shamans first so they cannot heal the pack, then the Vanguard. Combustion grenades help.

Void Zombie — Teleports onto you, including onto helis. Strafe so they fall.

Boomer — Salmon skin, faster than you, explodes on death. Do not ram, do not melee. Backpedal with a rifle.

Shaman — Healer. Always before the tank it is supporting.

Carrier / Giant / Lightning / Brute — Large-body problems. Lightning punishes clumps; Carrier dumps extras.

B tier — respect, do not panic

Chaser, Jumper, Phantom (floor skippers), Gas (cloud on death), Toxic (aura — cabins do not save you), Enraged (needs fire: Freonthrower / incendiary crates), Regen, Blood, Gelatinous family, Spitter (heli threat), Illusion, Golden (announced spawn like the King), Guard (King adds; Alpha Guards in Hardcore resist headshots).

C tier — your income

Normal Zombie, Fast, Frigid, Mini, Mini Gelatinous. Fast is why you buy walls in getting started. Mini swarms are shotgun food (SPAS, Energy Cannon).

Alpha modifier

Any non-boss, non-event zombie can roll Alpha: bigger, red blood particles, 5× HP, 2× damage, faster, 8× cash. Hardcore raises the roll rate — events and modes. There are no Alpha Kings or Alpha eggs. Farm Alphas with weapon S-tier guns, not the Knife.

Event / special

Jack (Halloween), Festive, Egg / Yellow / Blue / Purple Egg (Roblox Hunt — 150 eggs for a badge), Birthday. They are loot/event loops, not the daily threat chart. Festive crates are on care packages.

Target priority in a mixed pack

1. King if the bar is up.
2. Shaman / Necromancer / Vanguard (support).
3. Boomer if it is in melee range of you or your car.
4. Tough if you are in any vehicle, including heli.
5. Void if you are airborne.
6. Everything else, Alphas first for cash.

Sentries will waste time on C-tier if an S-tier is walking past — that is why you still get out of the base with an M60. Pair this page with vehicle tiers so you know which metal actually survives a Tough.

Farm value versus threat

Alphas are both: kill them on purpose. Mini Zombies are food. Golden is announced and rich but not King. Necromancer is a threat first because the extra bodies eat mag time. If your cash planner needs $38k for a sentry, a few Alphas beat a hundred Minis.

Horde events that are all Toughs invert the vehicle chart: heli becomes bait. Horde events that are Minis invert it the other way: Energy Cannon and mines look S-tier for ten minutes. Re-rank in your head, not by rewriting this table every session.

Event eggs during Hunt are a badge loop. They can still slap a new plot. Walls first — getting started.
