Undead Defense Tycoon 2 tier lists
Guns, garage metal, and which undead actually deserve a Railgun.
A tier list in Undead Defense Tycoon 2 is a spend-order, not a PvP ranking. You are racing your own plot: every dollar on a pretty floor is a dollar not in an M60 or a sentry. This hub points to three lists — weapons, vehicles, and zombies — and explains the rules we use so the ranks do not contradict the upgrade path.
How we rank
- Cash per kill and time to buy beat raw damage. A $40 SMG that is online in minute two outranks a $108k Katana you cannot afford.
- Reload vs overheat. Lab lasers (see Weapons Lab) win long fights if you manage heat; they lose if you dump the mag like an M61 Vulcan.
- Vehicle HP is a resource. Running over zombies spends the car. A Humvee that rams Boomers is a worse pick than it looks.
- Alphas change the chart. 5× HP and 8× cash mean a “trash” Fast Zombie can be worth a sniper shot in Hardcore — events and modes.
- Gamepasses are optional. Super Sentry and Rocket Sentry sit on gamepasses. We rank them as paid S-tier tools, not as the free path.
Snapshot ranks (normal place)
Weapons (free path): S — M60, M61 Vulcan, Photon Repeater, Railgun (crate). A — AK-47, SPAS-12, Laser Rifle, Combat Drone. B — Tommy Gun, .50 Cal, Energy Cannon. C — starter pistol, Sniper Rifle after you have an AR. Full table: weapon tiers.
Vehicles: S — Devastator, Missile Truck, Attack Helicopter. A — Tank, Armored Humvee. B — Humvee, Flamethrower Tank (pass). C — ATV, Jeep (transport only). Full table: vehicle tiers.
Zombies (threat): S — King Zombie, Alpha Tough, Necromancer. A — Tough, Vanguard, Void, Boomer (in crowds). B — Chaser, Giant, Lightning. C — normal / Mini. Full table: zombie tiers.
How to use the lists in a session
- Open getting started if your walls are still wood.
- Buy the next S or A gun you can afford; skip melee after Machete unless you like Katana fashion.
- Park cash for mines + sentry before a Jeep — base defense.
- When the purple bar appears, swap to whatever the King Zombie guide says you own (heli rockets, Missile Truck, Railgun).
- Spend leftover on garage only after Weapons Lab is online.
Paid vs free
Economics+ (double cash rolls) moves every weapon up a half tier because you reach them faster. Auto-Fill Turrets does not change gun rank; it changes AFK rank. Flamethrower Tank is a pass vehicle — strong, not required. If you refuse Robux, you can still finish the fortress; it just takes more King kills.

Care packages inject crate-only guns (Zapper, Railgun, Drone) into the weapon list. Scripts do not change tiers; they only change how fast you farm. Rank the item, not the injector.
Revisit this hub after a patch. Box Games is slow now, but a new laser or a Stinger-priced vehicle would shuffle S-tier overnight. Until then, M60 before vanity, Devastator before ATV cosmetics, King before jumping into Hardcore blind.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the best free gun?
M60 is the workhorse. Photon Repeater and Railgun sit above it if you have Lab or a Tier III crate.
Should I buy a Katana?
Only as a luxury. Cash is better in AK-47, mines, and sentry. See the weapon list.
Is the Attack Helicopter S-tier?
Yes for King and hordes, with the caveat that Tough, Spitter, and Void can still hit you in the air.
Do Alphas change weapon ranks?
They reward slow, high-damage guns more. Bring a .50 Cal or Laser Rifle when Hardcore Alphas spawn.
