Cash Planner

Use this cash planner as a spreadsheet in prose. Figures are public wiki prices for Undead Defense Tycoon 2 pads. If the in-game button disagrees after a silent update, the button wins.

Sten is $0 with group. Knife $75 is optional. Katana $108k does not belong in this band.

ItemCost
Mines T2 / T319k / 29k
SPAS-1278k
.50 Cal58k
M61 Vulcan316k
Garage ATV spawn300 (repeatable)

Sentry refill is $2/round, ~$300 full. That is a hidden tax if you never buy Auto-Fill — gamepasses.

Lab and merc ($480k–$2.4M)

ItemCost
Merc pad480k
Laser Blaster492k
Laser Rifle565k
Plasma Sword649k
Merc Lv2–5630k / 1.15M / 1.74M / 2.38M
Energy Cannon773k
Freonthrower1.35M
Photon Repeater2.2M
Merc spawn2k → 30k per drop

Trade: Plasma Sword ≈ Laser Rifle + leftover. Merc level 3 ($1.15M) ≈ two Lab ARs. Photon Repeater ≈ skipping several merc levels. See Weapons Lab.

Vehicles (spawn fees, not just unlocks)

ATV 300, Tank on the order of 15k, heli tens of thousands per pull depending on pad. Devastator is endgame cash. Repair is extra. Ramming Boomers is a fee you invent — vehicles.

Opportunity cost examples

  • $38k sentry vs nothing: take sentry.
  • $108k Katana vs mines T3 + SPAS: take mines/SPAS.
  • $316k Vulcan vs saving for Lab unlock: if garage is ready, Lab building can still be the better gate for heli.
  • $480k merc pad vs Laser Blaster: pad if you want AFK stairs; Blaster if you still die in the forest.
  • King $20k+ on a stacked server: a few Kings buy an AK era; they do not buy Photon alone.

Alphas pay 8×; Economics+ adds a 35% double roll. Planner math is pre-modifier.

How to use in a session

  1. Count cash.
  2. Find the next upgrade path step you can afford.
  3. If a vanity pad is cheaper, walk around it.
  4. After King, repeat.

Codes will not fill this table — codes. Scripts that auto-buy will fill it in the wrong order — auto farm.

King as a funding source

A stacked King can dump more than an AK’s price in one bar. It cannot dump a Photon Repeater reliably unless the server is full and you already own the gun that lets you survive the bar — King Zombie. Plan Kings as midgame injections, not as a substitute for mines.

Alphas during Hardcore look like a printer. They are also 5× HP. If your time-to-kill is worse than the cash gain, you are losing the planner. Stay on live until M60 exists.

Hidden fees checklist

Sentry rounds, merc spawn, vehicle spawn, vehicle repair, Rocket/Super sentry ammo if not Auto-Fill. Write those as repeating costs. A “I have $500k” screenshot can be $0 after one Tank grief and two merc deaths. The upgrade path assumes you do not set those loops on fire.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is Katana ever the right $108k spend?

Almost never before mines, sentry, and M60. It is a luxury melee.

Do spawn fees belong in the planner?

Yes. Tanks and helis charge per pull. Unlock ≠ free ride.

Should I save for Photon Repeater?

After Lab, merc 3, and a vehicle. It is not a first million goal.

Do Alpha kills break the table?

They only change how fast you climb it. The pad prices stay.
