Undead Defense Tycoon 2 Vehicles and the helipad

How to unlock the garage, fly the attack heli, and not eat a Tough rock.

Vehicles Guide

The garage is a building you buy; the cars are consumable spawns. This vehicles guide is how to unlock them, how to fly the Attack Helicopter, and why your helipad is “missing.” Rankings live on the vehicle tier list. Controls live on controls.

Unlock path

  1. Barriers on floor two.
  2. Buy the Garage (left after barriers).
  3. Buy the whole garage structure (not every car) to unlock Weapons Lab on top — Weapons Lab.
  4. Helipad after Lab + maxed garage (vehicles themselves can wait).

If the heli pad is invisible, you skipped Lab or garage pads, not a bug. Forum posts about “I maxed garage” often skipped Lab lasers.

Ground garage (typical order)

ATV ($300, 2 seats, 200 HP) → Jeep (open, bad) → Humvee (covered) → Armored Humvee → Tank (~$15k spawn class, ~3k HP) → Missile Truck → Devastator (rail cannons, biggest body). Flamethrower Tank is a gamepass clone with a flame and a corpse explosion.

Spawn gold is charged every time. Repair on the pad or with the Vehicle Repair Tool. Ramming spends HP; Boomer explosions spend more — zombie tiers.

Attack Helicopter

  • Infinite minigun, rockets on a 10s regen (six on the wings in current writeups).
  • Touching land counts as a landing.
  • Move: W forward, A/D strafe, S back, E up, Q down, F rockets, M1 gun.
  • Tough boulders, Spitters, and Voids are the only common air threats. Strafe Voids so they teleport into dirt.
  • Home button as pilot can teleport the aircraft with you. Land first.
  • Players standing on rotors can invert or strip propellers.

The mid-article video is the helicopter update showcase — real place, real HUD.

Heli vs Devastator

Community poll: you want both. If you must sequence: Devastator if Toughs are ruining your day; heli if you want King headshots and map mobility. Missile Truck is the lazy King farm with a mercenary on Defend.

Glitch list (so you do not think the game is bricked)

  • Tanks / flame tanks drop tracks after a fall.
  • Humvees invert wheels after a fall.
  • ATV spin collision.
  • Heli: rotor grief, upside-down, sudden stop.

Re-spawn. That is the repair of last resort, and it costs the spawn fee again.

Combat rules inside metal

Cabins block punches. They do not block King leech, Gas death clouds, or Toxic aura. First Aid still matters — King Zombie.

Buy cars after M60 and mines. The upgrade path will fight you if you rush a Tank on $15k with wood walls. Paint is not armor; Colorizer does not add HP.

Driving in an eight-player forest

Other plots are geometry. Do not clip your Missile Truck through someone’s merc stairs and call it a shortcut. King kites should pull toward map center trees, not through a newbie ATV. If you grief a heli by standing on blades, expect that player to stop repairing you.

Passenger seats exist on several vehicles (ATV 2, heli 2). A gunner with a Laser Rifle on a Humvee is a budget Devastator. First Aid in the passenger lap is a valid King plan.

When to abandon a hull

If tracks fall off, respawn. If a Tough rocks your heli to 10% HP, land at your own pad, not in the King smash zone. Spawn fees are cheaper than a wipe that also drops a crate gun — care packages. The cash planner is where you decide whether a second Tank pull is smarter than saving for Lab.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Why is my helipad missing?

Finish Weapons Lab and the garage building. Optional cars are not the gate; the building is.

How do I fire heli rockets?

F. Minigun is left click. E/Q for altitude.

Can zombies hit the helicopter?

Tough boulders, Spitters, and Void teleports. Most walkers cannot.

Does the Tank protect me from King?

Not from leech or smash well enough. Bring First Aid and range.
