Undead Defense Tycoon 2 Hardcore mode — separate place, more Alphas

Hardcore is the second Box Games experience attached to Undead Defense Tycoon, not a difficulty tickbox on place 5670292785. It has on the order of 877k visits, the same eight-player server size, and a higher Alpha roll rate. This page exists because people queue it looking for extra cash, then rage that their live Devastator is gone. Pair it with events and modes (calendar zombies stay on live) and how to play.

Live place last public bump: 8 May 2026. Test place 5717071250 updated 31 July 2026 and is not Hardcore. Three doors: live, Hardcore, test. Only live and Hardcore are meant for real plots. Test wipes.

What actually changes

• More Alphas. Any non-boss, non-event zombie can roll Alpha: bigger, red blood particles, 5× HP, 2× damage, faster, 8× cash. There is no Alpha King and no Alpha Hunt egg. Zombie tiers.
• Alpha Guards in Hardcore can resist headshots. Do not assume M60 head clicks delete the King’s adds.
• Saves do not copy. Pads, garage, Lab, merc level, and cash stay on the place that earned them. Gamepasses stay on the account — gamepasses. Badges are account toasts — badges.
• Same forest loop: claim plot, kill for cash, buy buttons. Same King in the center if the bar is up — King Zombie.

If you wanted “live but spicier loot,” you will be disappointed. Loot is still crates and pads. The spice is that a random Tough is now an Alpha Tough that can out-stat King.

When to join

Join Hardcore after live has:

1. Walls and mines — getting started.
2. M60 or equivalent — weapon tiers.
3. A sentry you understand — base defense.
4. One King kill so leech is not a surprise.

Do not join to “get more cash for my live Devastator.” Cash stays here. Do not join because a script GUI has a Hardcore blacklist and you have never kited a Boomer — auto farm.

Loadout that does not instantly fold

• Guns: M60 minimum. Lab lasers if you already paid for them on this plot. Ammo+ helps mag guns, not overheat — Weapons Lab.
• Defense: mines first, sentry second, merc only after Lab on this plot. Stairs still leak — mercenary.
• Vehicles: heli and Devastator are win-more. Tough / Alpha Tough boulders still delete hulls — vehicle tiers.
• Passes: Economics+ is the only pass that clearly scales with 8× Alpha cash. Super/Rocket sentry still need the pads unlocked here.

Freonthrower / incendiary crates for Enraged. Do not ram Boomers. Void on a heli is still a fall.

Codes, Hunt, and calendars

Codes are deactivated on the franchise. Hardcore will not redeem REMASTER1 either. Hunt eggs and Jack/Festive are live calendar loops; do not expect them as a Hardcore exclusive gun. Check updates and Discord before you treat a purple egg as a Hardcore boss.

Scripts

Farm GUIs advertise Hardcore because 8× cash looks like a print button. Blacklists exist for Poison / Vanguard / Frigid / Boomer because melee loops suicide. A GUI without a blacklist will knife a Boomer. That is not “the script is outdated.” That is the map. Read safety. The intended AFK is still sentry + mines + Auto-Fill.

How to tell you clicked the wrong door

• Description mentions data wipes → test server, leave.
• Description is the live group pitch (3002493, Sten) → live.
• Community label Hardcore / higher Alphas → this page.

Group Sten still wants a rejoin on whichever place you picked — links. Same-session join after grouping does nothing.

Play Hardcore as a second fortress, not a difficulty slider. If that sounds like unpaid work, stay on live, farm Alphas that already exist there (just rarer), and spend the evening on King.
